7/14/16 Green Hills Music Group signs Mary Haller Boston songwriter Mary Haller has signed an exclusive publishing agreement with Green Hills Music Group. She was introduced to Green Hills president Woody Bomar by Sheree Spoltore, President of songwriter career development company Global Songwriters Connection. Bomar said, “I met Mary a couple of years ago at a GSC event. I was impressed and started listening to her songs. We have already gotten a couple of cuts and I look forward to this exclusive relationship and a lot more success!” Said Haller, "I am honored to be working with such a successful publisher. Artist/Songwriter Danika Portz celebrated the holidays by becoming a member of The Country Music Association. Portz is from Remsen, Iowa and now resides in Nashville. She is joined here by her co-publishers, CMA members Woody Bomar (Green Hills Music Group) and Leslie Mitchell (Grin Like A Dog Songs). Portz is sponsored by Bettie Page Clothing of Las Vegas.

Green Hills Music Group Signs Sarahbeth Taite

Sarahbeth Taite discovered music as her life’s calling at an early age. At 15, the talented singer and songwriter is as confident and ambitious as the Music Row veterans she’s been collaborating with in recent months. “I love everything about songwriting,” explains the rising star, “but my favorite part is the fact that you can turn the most awful feeling into the most beautiful thing. I don’t know what I’d do without it.”
Keen observation helps the intelligent young lady find inspiration all around her, translating her own experiences and those of others into relatable music.
The Ft. Collins, Colorado native says she doesn’t have to search very hard for inspiration. “We all have plenty of thoughts and feelings throughout our lives, and it’s really important having those emotions to put into your songs.”
She penned her first song at age six, and began deeply exploring the craft at age 12 when her piano teacher introduced her to the guitar. “The guitar changed everything,” she recalls. “Once I started playing guitar I became more serious about songwriting.” By 13 Sarahbeth was sharing her work with friends and family, followed by playing open mic events and songwriter rounds.
Making her way to Music City was inevitable for the up-and-comer. I knew I needed to get to Nashville,” she says, “I knew that’s where it was all happening.” Her first visit was in June 2011 and she was instantly enthralled with Music Row. A few months later she convinced her parents to bring her back for the Nashville Songwriters Association’s Songposium, where she met music publishing veteran Woody Bomar, who was teaching a class. Since then Bomar has been helping Sarahbeth navigate the industry and signed her to his Green Hills Music Group in May of 2012. She spent the summer of 2012 in Nashville focusing on co-writing and recording as well as voice, guitar and performance training. She is now living part time in Nashville.
Part of her introduction to country music came from the television show “Reba.” Sarahbeth explored the superstar’s extensive catalog and discovered a love of traditional country music. Finding herself drawn back in time from there, she became passionate about artists such as Loretta Lynn, Kitty Wells, Johnny Cash, Dolly Parton, George Jones, and Tammy Wynette.
Sarahbeth blends all these influences into her music, adding in her own unique lyrics and ideas. As she continues her journey, there’s no doubt she will have plenty more experiences to sing about.

Congratulations to Green Hills writer Paul Duncan who co-wrote the new single by Average Joes Entertainment recording artist Matt Stillwell. The song, "Ignition," was written with Will Rambeaux and Sherrie Austin. Paul first scored success as a country songwriter with Sherrie Austin's hit, “Streets of Heaven”.
Exciting New Artist Weston Burt Records Three Green Hills Music Songs
Weston Burt, a talented new artist on the Ramblin' Music label, has recorded three of our songs, including “Round Here,” the focus track on his new EP. Weston has been getting good spins on radio stations along his current tour route and the song, written by Will Rambeaux and Jon Christopher Davis from our R2M catalog, can be heard by clicking on the official Weston Burt website. Additionally, he has recorded the GHM songs "Redneck Nation," written by Bob Regan and Kerry Kurt Phillips, and "Make Some Noise," written by Rick Giles, Jeremy Stover and Kris Bergesnes.

Green Hills Music Group is happy to be working with Nashville Songwriters Hall Of Famer Dallas Frazier by representing a portion of his new catalog. Dallas, who has penned such timeless classics as “Alley Oop,” “Beneath Still Waters,” “There Goes My Everything” and “Elvira,” and has scored hits with Elvis Presley, George Jones, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Charley Pride, has a new demo session in the works now. Stay tuned for more great songs from Dallas Frazier.
